Growing in Faith

Christianity is a journey of exploration and discovery, best navigated with an open and inquiring mind. Just as the first disciples set off following Jesus without really appreciating who he was or where the journey would lead so it is for today’s disciples.

Our journey may start in childhood or adulthood, be continuous, pick up after a break, or change direction in response to new insights or experiences. St Andrew’s offers opportunities to explore Christian belief.

Bible Reflections Group

Studying the bible, both the Old and the New Testament, has been an important aspect of Christianity for millennia. It helps to deepen the basis of our beliefs, enrich our spirituality, and strengthen our faith, both as individuals and as a community of worshipping church goers..

Bible Reflection, (or Bible Discussion, or Bible Study), has been part of the life of St Andrew’s Roundhay for as long as many of our congregation can remember. Everyone is warmly invited to join us, whoever you are and wherever you are in your faith journey. We come together in the afternoon of the second and fourth Tuesday of most months, between 2.00 -3.30pm. Sometimes we are led by the minister, and sometimes by members of the church community. There is great joy in sharing our enthusiasms, doubts, disagreements, hopes and memories, and we find new understanding and meaning for our lives through our interactions, the bible always at the centre.
